What is MinnEconomy? The Electric Fetus presents MinnEconomy, a "shop local" program that empowers both shoppers and local gift makers/artists by offering them a forum to sell their craft. Every month the Electric Fetus will feature local Minnesota musicians, artists, and designers, showcasing the talent in our state. The featured items will be 10% off for that month in all three of our stores.

The trend of buying local continues to gain momentum, but Electric Fetus has been leading the way with local gift makers and artists for most of its 40-plus years. The Fetus has more than 400 local music artists featured in-store as well as a growing list of local gift makers. From exotic jewelry to hand-made soaps to greeting cards to hand-made incense to photography and more, you'll find it in Electric Fetus' ever-expanding local line in its gift section.

SECOND THURSDAYS: Every second Thursday of the month will be MinnEconomy day at the Fetus. It will be something unique each month and for each store. It could include demonstrations of the making of a craft or art, live music, and free refreshments from local vendors. It will always be centered around that month's MinnEconomy picks, an in-store showcase of the local talent in our state. Check below for the scheduled events at each store.
