The first 100 people to order any version of Here We Go Crazy will be able to attend Bob Mould's soundcheck at the Palace Theatre on Saturday, April 19th. Time is TBD and will be communicated likely the week of April 13th as soon as we have that. Soundcheck attendees will be on a guest list at the door. Your order will admit just one person to the soundcheck. We will be emailing customers to confirm attendance. Order does NOT include a ticket to the concert that night or meet and greet/photos with the artist.

The first 250 people to purchase any version of Here We Go Crazy will receive a copy of the album artwork flat signed by Bob Mould.

Samia In-store Performance and Signing - Wednesday, March 19th - 4:30 p.m.

We’re excited to announce that Samia will be here for a special in-store performance and signing on Wednesday, March 19^th at 4:30pm!

Samia’s new release, Bloodless, won’t be released until April 25^th, but if you pre-order the vinyl or CD, you will get a signing line pass to meet Samia PLUS a special cassette of her next single. She will sign the cassette for you after her performance. Those with passes will also get first access to the stage area before the performance.

Orders for Bloodless CDs and vinyl won’t be processed until the week of April 25^th and you will receive an email when your copy is ready for in-store pickup April 25^th or a tracking number if you chose to have it shipped. ALL SIGNING LINE PASSES AND CASSETTES WILL BE IN-STORE PICKUP ONLY ON MARCH 19^TH STARTING AT 10:00 A.M. You will be emailed when your signing line pass and special cassette are ready for pickup March 19^th. Any pre-orders for this promotion cannot be cancelled/refunded after March 14^th. Friday, March 21 st at 4:30 p.m., join us as we listen to For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women), the new album from Japanese Breakfast which will be released that same day.  

We'll play the record in its entirety and have posters for wristbands 1-30. We'll have a special record sleeve to give out with purchase of the vinyl at the event (limited to 20). We'll start handing out numbered wristbands on April 3rd at 4:00 p.m. Stop by the music counter after 4:00 p.m. the day of the event to get yours. One per person. Wristbands are attached in the store and not transferable. No holds...you must come in to get yours. We’re excited to have The Linda Lindas here on Record Store Day, Saturday, April 12^th, for a signing at 1:45pm!!

To secure your pass for the signing line, you’ll need to order No Obligation on indie exclusive translucent pink vinyl. Each pass admits one person to the signing line to meet the band and get their record signed. At the event we’ll have a poster for each person in the signing line and you may get that signed too. There is a limit of two records (and passes) per order. THIS EVENT IS LIMITED TO 75 PASSES. Choose in-store pickup when you order. The item will become unavailable when passes are sold out. Your 7-digit order number is your confirmation that you will get your pass(es). You will receive a second email when your order is ready for pickup. We highly recommend you pick up your order before Record Store Day if possible, as that is our busiest day of the year.

Franklin Avenue Road Project

In non-music news, the Electric Fetus is currently objecting to another proposed Franklin Avenue road construction project that will certainly disrupt our business, our neighbors and of course, our customers. And it creates safety concerns.

Many of you will recall we endured the 35W and Franklin Bridge construction project from just several years ago. Now, Hennepin County is proposing to reverse and remove road safety improvements that were installed through that previous construction work, notably eliminating the left turn lane on Franklin Ave. to 4^th Avenue South and installing a median that will block access to the Fetus. Most of our customers arrive coming on Westbound Franklin so now would be forced to park to the North across the street or drive further down Franklin, take a left turn down a narrow residential street to loop back around to our store. That’s unreasonable. And forces pedestrians who park to the North to cross a busy street.

We are urging the County to reconsider moving forward with this part of the project and encouraging officials to reassess the traffic situation to avoid profoundly disrupting our neighborhood.
